Blog Tour: Pretty Amy by Lisa Burstein ~ Character Interview!

I am so happy to announce that today I have the very cute and the very sweet Joe on the blog today to answer some questions for me!

What were you thinking when you saw Amy at Prom?

I thought she looked beautiful, but I also thought she looked stoned. That was why I wouldn't let her in the prom that night, not because she didn't have her ticket.

Later you told Amy that she should have stayed at Prom, but you wouldn't let her in. How was she supposed to stay there? Why didn't you make an exception for your former friend?

I was angry at her. Basically, I felt like she was throwing her druggie ways and druggie friends in my face. I told her she should have stayed, but maybe I should have said more. I meant she should have stayed with me and I knew there was no way that could have happened, so it was easier not to let her in.

You're so sweet! What were you ever doing with that girl, Leslie?

Leslie was hot. What can I say, I'm a guy, but I didn't really *like* Leslie. If that makes it any better.

Knowing your feelings for Amy, did it hurt you when you saw her hanging out with the "bad girls"? Didn't you want to knock some sense into her?

I definitely did!! Yes, but I also knew she wouldn't listen. One of the things I love about Amy, at least in how she deals with me, is that she is so strong-willed and stubborn, very.

Now that you and Amy are finally official, where are you going to take her on your first date?

We'll probably go to the zoo. Seems weird, but it was a place we loved going together when we were kids.

OMG! That is so sweet! What else do you like to do besides playing volleyball and bike riding?

I love my dog. I also love playing video games and watching movies.

Any interesting plans for the summer?

Hopefully making Amy mine forever!

Joe, it was so great meeting you. You really are the All-American boy next door! Thanks for agreeing to let me interview you!

Amy is fine living in the shadows of beautiful Lila and uber-cool Cassie, because at least she’s somewhat beautiful and uber-cool by association. But when their dates stand them up for prom, and the girls take matters into their own hands—earning them a night in jail outfitted in satin, stilettos, and Spanx—Amy discovers even a prom spent in handcuffs might be better than the humiliating “rehabilitation techniques” now filling up her summer. Worse, with Lila and Cassie parentally banned, Amy feels like she has nothing—like she is nothing.

Navigating unlikely alliances with her new coworker, two very different boys, and possibly even her parents, Amy struggles to decide if it’s worth being a best friend when it makes you a public enemy. Bringing readers along on an often hilarious and heartwarming journey, Amy finds that maybe getting a life only happens once you think your life is over.

I loved Pretty Amy! On May 15th, I will be posting my 5 star review!
