Cover Reveal: Drew + Fable Forever by Monica Murphy

We are extremely thrilled to share the cover of Monica Murphy's novella DREW + FABLE FOREVER. Fans of the One Week Girlfriend Series will want to preorder now for just $.99!!! We know you'll love this novella as much as we do!
DREW + FABLE FOREVER releases on January 14!!

Fantasy. How I ended up with NFL player Drew Callahan, the guy every woman wants, is beyond my wildest dreams. All I know is that once he chose me as his one and only, I sure wasn’t looking back. I had past wounds and he showed patience and concern—even accepting responsibility for my messed- up kid brother. Now, yet again, he's found a way to blow my mind: an exotic wedding and honeymoon miles and miles away from home. What else could a girl ever ask for? Reality. Except now the honeymoon’s over. Drew's football schedule takes him on the road constantly, while I need to stay put and look after my brother until he finishes high school—because God knows our sorry excuse for a mother won’t. I know Drew loves me with all his heart, and I’ll always be over the moon about him. This just isn’t how I imagined life as newlyweds . . . dealing with the distance, missing him constantly. But we’ve gone through hard times before. We can get through this, too, right? We’re Drew and Fable, together forever. At least I hope so. . . .

EXCERPT:
“We should check out Ocean Avenue tomorrow,” Drew whispers close to my ear, amusement tingeing his deep voice. “What? Are you serious?” Even though I’ve come to terms with being here, it doesn’t mean I want to linger and make it a serious vacation. Besides, Drew needs to get back home so he can resume practice. “Well yeah, remember the spot where we kissed?” His eyes are warm as they search my face, filled with so much love I feel my heart swell. “Yes,” I whisper achingly. “Of course I remember.” “I want to go back there.” He tucks a strand of hair behind my ear, his index finger lingering on my skin. “I want to kiss you again in that little alley and remember how wet we were from the rain. How nervous I was. I was scared you might reject me.” I’d felt the same way. We’d dealt with much of the same feelings and fears and hadn’t even known it. “I want to take you to that store where you got the dress that just about killed me and buy you whatever you want,” he continues, his fingers drifting across my jaw. My eyes flutter closed as memories rush back at me. “I want to sit outside the dressing room and have you come out to show me every single thing you’re trying on.” That he remembers all the little details sends a thrill of pleasure spiraling to the very depths of my soul. “And then I want to wander off for a bit and let you do whatever you want, secretly hoping that you’ll send me a text that says marshmallow. Though if you don’t that’s okay because I’ll send you one instead.” He offers up a crooked smile and the sight of it cracks my heart wide open, overflowing with so much pure love for him I want to cry. “Because we made a deal. Whenever we see or hear that word, the other comes running. I’ll always be the one to rescue you, Fable. You never have to worry about that.”

Review: Racing Savannah by Miranda Kenneally

Racing Savannah
(Hundred Oaks # 4)
By: Miranda Kenneally
Pub. Date: December 3, 2013
Publisher: Sourcebooks Fire
Pages: 304
Source: Netgalley

They’re from two different worlds.

He lives in the estate house, and she spends most of her time in the stables helping her father train horses. In fact, Savannah has always been much more comfortable around horses than boys. Especially boys like Jack Goodwin—cocky, popular and completely out of her league. She knows the rules: no mixing between the staff and the Goodwin family. But Jack has no such boundaries.

With her dream of becoming a horse jockey, Savannah isn’t exactly one to follow the rules either. She’s not going to let someone tell her a girl isn’t tough enough to race. Sure, it’s dangerous. Then again, so is dating Jack.
I received this galley in exchange for an honest review.

It's no secret that I am a fan of Miranda Kenneally and her Hundred Oaks series, and while I have enjoyed all of her stories, they haven't compared to her first one, and my favorite, Crossing Jordan. Until Racing Savannah! Everything about this story was perfect. From the Southern setting, to the characters, to the writing and plot. Never being a fan of horses (they creep me out!), I didn't really know how I was going to feel about so many scenes in a book featuring horses, but it wasn't a problem because the writing and characters were so good!

Savannah, her father, and pregnant step mom move into the servants house of the Goodwin estate. Her dad has worked with horses his whole life and this is an excellent job to have, even if they are dirt poor. Savannah wants to have a career in training and taking care of the horses, and eager to see if the Goodwins will give her an opportunity to show what she's made of. Turns out that Mr. Goodwin has left all the decisions to his son, Jack, to see if he can handle being the boss. This makes for many interesting scenes between Jack and Savannah, who is supposed to stay away from him!

The chemistry between Savannah and Jack was so sweet. As a reader you think Jack is going to act like a rich, privileged, spoiled boy. But he isn't. He is sweet and caring, and wants to make his father proud. Savannah was also an awesome character. She loves her family, and even though she is upset with her dad for getting a lady pregnant, she doesn't hold it against them, and does what she can to help. It was a nice change of pace from other YA characters out there.

As with her other books, Kenneally focuses on a certain sport, and while I don't like horses, I enjoyed learning about them and the inner workings of horse racing.

I really enjoyed Racing Savannah. I will always read the books from the Hundred Oaks series!

SOAR is the first book in The Empire Chronicles Series and is full of fantasy and mystery. Check out what we have for you today and then enter to win in the release day launch giveaway! There's also a fantastic excerpt for you to check out below!

EXCERPT:

I slowly opened the door and my jaw dropped. Standing there was a shirtless guy with a body that couldn’t be real. Hard. Muscular. Perfect. That’s the way I’d describe his chest. He had abs that would make underwear models jealous.  My eyes zeroed in on a few beads of sweat making a descent down his chest. When they reached his stomach, I forced my eyes up to his face.
He grinned. “So you’re why Toby isn’t getting the job done.”
“What?” I asked, forcing my eyes to stop looking at his chiseled abs.
“You’d distract me too.” He didn’t bother to hide his appraisal.
I looked down and crossed my arms. I met his eyes again and was met by an expression of humor and want that nearly melted me.
“I’m just staying here.” I felt the need to explain myself. If not for my sake or dignity, for Toby’s.  I promised myself it wasn’t because I wanted this sexy guy to know I was single.
“Staying here, huh?” He smiled. “Well, you can stay at my place anytime.”
“Do you live around here?” His wider grin made me regret the words. “I’m just wondering. Not because I want to stay with you.”
“I’m from New Orleans, but I have a place here too—at least I’m borrowing it.”
“Oh. Well, Toby isn’t here.”
“You already said that.” He stepped into the apartment. “Know where he is?”
“No. I don’t.” I took a few steps back.
He matched my movements, ending up just as close to me as he was before. “No kiss goodbye this morning?”
“That would have been hard since I was in the guest room.” I put a hand on my hip. Sexy or not, I wasn’t going to let this guy get to me.
“Guest room? Likely.”
I could feel my blood boiling. How was he getting under my skin so easily? “It’s true. If you’ll excuse me, I need to get my stuff and go home.”
“Are you going to wear that?” He gestured to my outfit, and that’s when I remembered what I was sleeping in.
I willed myself not to blush, but I could practically feel the blood rushing to my face.
“I’m guessing those are the guest pajamas, huh?”
“I just borrowed them… Wait, why am I bothering to explain myself to you?”
“I don’t know, you tell me.” He took another step toward me.
“I know the kind of guy you are.”
“You do? Please, tell me. I can’t wait to hear this assessment.”
“You’re arrogant, pig headed, and you think a girl’s just going to fall to her knees if you take your shirt off…” To my credit, I was still standing. “Speaking of which, why is your shirt off?”
He smirked. “Why do you think it’s off?  Since apparently you’re the expert on guys like me. I’m going to ignore the fall to their knees comment. You look cute when you blush, but it might push you over the edge.”

ABOUT SOAR (The Empire Chronicles #1):

In the city that never sleeps the Chronicles continue…

Serving coffee is temporary, just like Casey's year off from school. She’s going to come up with a plan to stay in New York City and go back to college, and that plan does not involve dating a paranormal creature—let alone two.

Running the supernatural society of New York is not as fun as it sounds, especially when you still have to answer to your ex-girlfriend’s fiancĂ©. Toby doesn’t mean to bring Casey into the chaos of his life, but he can't resist the girl who makes him smile when he thought no one else ever could.

Jared's in New York checking out a security risk for his best friend, the king. He plans to return to New Orleans quickly, but not if it means losing his chance with the brunette who pretends she wants nothing to do with him.

In over her head with a bunch of winged creatures who most definitely are not angels, Casey has to figure out who to trust with her life and maybe her heart.

Review: Friends & Lovers Trilogy by Bethany Lopez

Friends & Lovers Trilogy
(Make It Last, I Choose You, Trust In Me)
By: Bethany Lopez
Pub. Date: March 2013
Publisher: Self
Source: Blog Tour

I received this galley in exchange for an honest review.

Friends & Lovers Trilogy includes Make It Last, I Choose You and Trust In Me. I have only read I Choose You and enjoyed it, so I jumped at the chance to be able to review all three books. For this review, I have decided to write a mini review for each of the three books.

This is a New Adult title - Meant for readers 18 and older.

In a small town, it's hard to recover from being dumped by your high school sweetheart. That's just what Briana has to do after Colin leaves her to follow his dreams. She focuses her energy into her friendships and the pursuit of her own goal of becoming a chef. Just when she finally feels like she's on the right path, he comes back to town.

Colin knew breaking up with Briana before leaving for college was the right thing to do. He was determined to leave small-town life behind forever, and that included his high school girlfriend. But when a sports injury puts him on the sidelines, he's forced to return home. Seeing Briana again brings back a lot of memories, and Colin wonders if he made the right decision. It doesn't take long for him to realize he wants her back, and this time, he wants to make it last.

Bree thought that she and her high school boyfriend Colin would be together forever. But when Colin goes off to college he decides he doesn't want to try the long distance thing. Bree has done her best to move on, but now, Colin is back home after an injury, and she realizes she is still really hurt and angry about what happened. I enjoyed watching the two of them rekindle their relationship, and watching them fall in love again. I especially loved the glimpses into the first time they were together. Overall a nice NA story, with a different twist.

Up until now, Nicole's life has been mapped out for her. She'd go to college, marry Jake and become the upstanding minister's wife. When she leaves that life to begin again in a small town in Texas, she finally has the freedom to live as she chooses. There, she meets Kent, a guy whose charm and passion make it hard to stick to her morals.

Dodging his father’s fists and protecting his twin sister made Kent into the man he is today. He learned by watching his mother stay by his father’s side that it’s better to keep relationships simple. Then he meets Nicole. Her sweet smile and genuine response to him land like punches to his resolve. After a lifetime of learning to protect his heart, can he finally let down his guard?

I really enjoyed Nicole and Kent's story. I actually enjoyed it a lot more the second time I read it. Nicole left her family's home because she didn't want to live the life they had mapped out for her. Kent is a sweetheart with a huge heart. Everything that Kent has done in his life was to protect his sister from their abusive father. I always respect characters that do things like that. Their relationship was sweet and real, and I was rotting for them completely. The two of them had a wonderful connection that anyone would be jealous of.

Roni’s dreams of becoming a contemporary dancer were smashed under the brutal rage of her ex-husband's fists. Getting divorced and starting over at the age of twenty-two was never her plan, but maybe in Texas, she'll find her path. When the town's local player, Rich, opens a Rec Center, she sees a way to rekindle her dancing dreams...and maybe have a little fun with her sexy new boss.

Rich never expected to fulfill his dreams in the town he planned to leave behind, but that's just what he's doing. His reputation as a noncommittal ladies' man might make it challenging to earn respect in the business world, but he's willing to prove that he's serious. In fact, when it comes to pursuing Roni, he's more than willing. But she's taking a page out of his book, not wanting to risk another relationship. Can he convince her that his playboy days are over and that she can trust him with her heart?
The last story in the trilogy is about Roni and Rich and easily my favorite of the three. Roni, who we met in I Choose You, is Kent's sister, and even at 22 you can tell all her brother wants to do is protect her, especially after what happened with her ex husband. Rich is the town player who acts like he doesn't give a crap about anything, but he really is the kindest man who wants to actually help people. I really loved these two together. I thought they were absolutely perfect for each other, and just what the other one needed.

Cover Reveal: Seeking Her by Cora Carmack

I am so excited to reveal the cover for Cora Carmack's new novella, Seeking Her, set before the events of Carmack's third novel, Finding It. Isn't this cover beautiful?

Seeking Her
(Losing It # 3.5)
By: Cora Carmack
Pub. Date: January 28, 2014
Publisher: William Morrow Impulse

A few months after being honorably discharged from the military, Jackson Hunt is still struggling to adjust back to the real world. He needs to get a job and find a sense of normalcy if he’s going to keep his own demons at bay. The job that falls into his lap, though, is anything but normal.

Bodyguard (and baby-sitter) to spoiled-rich-girl Kelsey Summers isn’t exactly what he’d been looking for, but it’s a chance to travel, to get away from the home that has felt stifling ever since his return. It would be a pretty sweet gig if it weren’t for the fact that Kelsey’s father doesn’t want Kelsey to know she’s being followed. Hunt feels guilty (and a little bit creepy) as he watches her from afar. She’s vibrant and infuriating, exciting and reckless, mysterious and familiar. When he sees her falling into the same patterns that he suffered years ago, he decides it’s time to stop watching and help her instead. But getting to know her is more difficult than he thought, especially because the more he knows her,the more he wants her.

Review: Four Seconds to Lose by K.A. Tucker

Four Seconds to Lose
(Ten Tiny Breaths # 3)
By: K. A. Tucker
Pub. Date: November 4, 2013
Publisher: Atria Books
Pages: 416
Source: Netgalley

When a gorgeous young dancer walks through his door, a strip club owner must decide whether to follow his rules or his heart in the third novel by the author of One Tiny Lie and Ten Tiny Breaths.

Owning a strip club isn’t the fantasy most guys expect it to be. With long hours, a staff with enough issues to keep a psych ward in business, and the police regularly on his case, twenty-nine-year-old Cain is starting to second guess his unspoken mission to save the women he employs. And then blond, brown-eyed Charlie Rourke walks through his door, and things get really complicated. Cain abides by a strict “no sleeping with the staff” rule. But being around Charlie challenges Cain’s self-control…and it’s been a long time since any woman has done that.

Twenty-two-year-old Charlie Rourke needs a lot of money, really fast, in order to vanish before it’s too late. Taking her clothes off for men makes her stomach curl but Charlie tells herself that at least she’s putting her acting and dancing skills to good use. And though her fellow dancers seem eager to nab their sexy, sophisticated, and genuinely caring boss, she’s not interested. After all, Charlie Rourke doesn’t really exist—and the girl pretending to be her can't get distracted by romance.

Unfortunately, Charlie soon discovers that developing feelings for Cain is inevitable, and that those feelings may not be unrequited—but losing him when he finds out what she’s involved with will be more painful than any other sentence awaiting her.
I was looking forward to Four Seconds to Lose ever since I first met Cain in the first story. Being a strip club owner, you definitely have preconceived notions about his character. But he is the complete opposite of what you might think. He is sweet, caring and honest, and opened a strip club so the ladies would have a safe place to work and a place where he can help them. You have to admire a man like that.

Charlie is very young, she’s 18, but it posing as a 22 year old. Her stepfather is a gangster who gets his daughter to go on drug runs for him and she wants out of a life that she never wanted in the first place. She decides she needs to save up as much money as she possibly can so she can afford a new identity. She gets a job at Penny’s-the strip club that Cain owns, and from the first moment Cain and Charlie meet there is a connection.

I loved Charlie. I couldn’t wait to find out more about her. Her stepfather has used her and has put her in extremely dangerous situations. Cain has lived with an excruciating amount of guilt for the past 10 years. He couldn’t save his sister from being murdered and he couldn’t save the women he loved from being killed either. He doesn’t think he is good enough for anyone, especially a girl like Charlie, who screams innocence (yes, even as a stripper!). The two of them deserved a happy ending more than two characters ever have.

I really enjoyed seeing past characters from the first two books. Cain really does have an amazing group of friends, and they all know how to have a good time! I loved the scenes where they were all together.

K.A. Tucker definitely has a talent for creating the most messed up characters, and I am so excited to read what she writes next!

Cover Redesign Reveal: Give Me Something by Elizabeth Lee

We are extremely excited to show you all the redesigned cover for Elizabeth Lee's GIVE ME SOMETHING!!! You can grab this gorgeous redesign December 16th!

Here's the deal: I learned a long time ago that sometimes you have to use what you have to make things happen. What I happen to have is a pretty smile, long legs, and the ability to make men believe anything I say. Before you get on your high horse and start judging me, can you honestly say you've never batted your lashes at some guy for a free drink at the bar? That's what I thought. Keep that in mind as I tell you my story of how I took it one step further. My story is of lies, deceit, manipulation, and love. Yeah, love. Believe me, it fits. Especially when you factor in Nick and Tucker – one had my heart and the other one wanted it all for himself. Which one is which? Well, I can't tell you that. It would defeat the purpose of the story. If I'm going to fill you in about me, Lila Garrison, and my life as a con artist, you're going to need to know all the facts, including the ones about the two guys who made me want to give up the life of fancy clothes, expensive jewelry, fast cars, and easy money. Because sometimes one person can give you something that's more valuable than all of that. If you're still interested, stick around. Just remember, I'm pretty good at convincing people to do what I want, so if by the end of this whole thing you feel worked over, don't say I didn't warn you.

Now, I channel it all to create stories where the girl always ends up with the right guy, first kisses are magical, and a happy ending is just that!

Review: Working It by Kendall Ryan

Working It
(Love by Design # 1)
By: Kendall Ryan
Pub. Date: November 11, 2013
Publisher: Atria Books
Source: Netgalley

Emmy Clarke is out of her depth in New York City’s fashion world, but when she lands a job as an assistant at a modeling agency it seems like the perfect mix of business and pleasure. Working under the notorious Fiona Stone is a nightmare, but there’s one distinct perk: ogling the ridiculously hot male models who parade through the office—particularly rising star Ben Shaw.

Ben is everything Emmy’s not: exquisitely gorgeous, highly paid, and well-traveled. He’s also got more issues than Vogue. Emmy looks after Ben on photo shoots, but she refuses to become another one of his lusting groupies. Ben finds Emmy’s refreshingly real attitude to be surprisingly attractive.

Against a backdrop of the most fashionable cities in the world, casual flirting turns into an illicit affair, but when Ben’s twisted past is revealed, and the bitter Fiona catches wind of their relationship, their careers and hearts are threatened.
I've waited so long to read this book, and was so excited when I received a review copy. Unfortunately, what started off on a extremely high note, ended up disappointing me. The whole story just seemed unbelievable to me, the writing, especially all the one liner comparisons, dragged on for me, and I didn't feel a connection to the characters that I was hoping I would.

Emmy is the personal assistant to Fiona Stone and works for one of the biggest modeling agencies in the world. It is here that Emmy meets Ben, the agencies highest paid model. Ben is gorgeous, but also sweet and caring. Turns out, Ben also finds the sweet, shy, Southern girl Emmy attractive too, and they instantly start a very dirty flirtatious text conversation. I definitely felt that the two of them had a connection with each other, I just didn't like them. Emmy annoyed me to no end. I wish she would have stopped complaining about how there is no way Ben could be attracted to her. He would just finish saying how hot she is, or they just finished hooking up, and then she would start with her never ending monologue about how he has sex with models, and there is no way he could be attractive to her. Shut up already!! He just had sex with you, he obviously finds you attractive! Ben on the other hand is described as someone who has "more issues than Vogue", but really he has one issue that I found a little ridiculous. Also, I didn't like how he was so forceful with Emmy. Emmy would say that something makes her uncomfortable, but then the next night he forces her to do. Yes, overall it would be her choice, but if he really cared about her, he wouldn't have been so domineering. He just rubbed me the wrong way. Don't get me wrong, I love when characters can be forceful with each other, but I just didn't like the way that Ben handled it. I also found the plot twist with Fiona absolutely ridiculous. I can't say anything without giving the spoilers away, but I just couldn't handle how stupid the whole thing was.

I am a huge fan of Kendall Ryan and the other stories I have read from her I absolutely loved. Working It just didn't work for me, but I will still read her other books. I am still a fan!

Review: The Unseen by J.L. Bryan

The Unseen
By: J.L. Bryan
Pub. Date: October 31, 2013
Publisher: Self
Source: Author

Cassidy is a young tattoo artist living in the Little Five Points neighborhood of Atlanta. She’s always suffered terrible nightmares, and sometimes the hideous creatures seem to follow her out of her dreams and into her waking life, though she’s the only one who can see them. Drugs and alcohol can blot them out, but never entirely chase them away.

When a demonic cult begins to take control of the people in her life, including her younger brother, Cassidy discovers that the unseen world of monsters is very real. She can no longer avoid it. To protect those she loves, she must accept her own hidden supernatural talents and face the forces of evil before the sinister cult achieves its twisted goals and casts the world into darkness.
I received this galley in exchange for an honest review.

J.L. Bryan has done it again with his fantastic, out of the box stories, and this time, he brought the creepy! I read it a few days before Halloween and I was completely freaked out. It’s definitely one of those stories that you have to read with the lights on. With a genre that has been done over and over again, Bryan has been able to weave different supernatural creates together including demons and angels and turn it in a believable story.

The story begins with Cassidy and her friends at a sleepover. They decide to play with the ouja board to see if they can contact any ghosts. Let’s face it, we've all been there, and we never expect anything to happen. But this time, something does happen, and it screws the girls up for a very long time. Now a few years later, Cassidy is a tattoo artist and drug user. She uses drugs to stop the nightmares where she is plagued with seeing the most gruesome and creepy creatures.

I really liked Cassidy as a heroine. She definitely has to deal with out a lot, and doesn’t deal with her issues in the most appropriate ways, but she cares about her loved ones and will do anything to make sure nothing bad happens to them. I’m a sucker for a kick ass female character. The supporting characters were written nicely and brought a lot to the story. All in all it was a nice rounded group of people.

Overall, I really enjoyed The Unseen and would definitely recommend it. As always, I can’t wait to read what Bryan comes up with next!

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author J. A. Redmerski brings us the second book in her heart-renching series about two 20-somethings who find each other in their darkest moment. Camryn Bennett has never been happier. Five months after meeting on a Greyhound bus, she and her soul mate Andrew Parrish are engaged-and a wedding isn't the only special event in their future. Nervous but excited, Camryn can't wait to begin the rest of her life with Andrew, a man she knows in her heart will love her always. They have so much to look forward to-until tragedy blindsides them. Andrew doesn't understand how this could happen to them. He's trying to move on, and thought Camryn was doing the same. But when Andrew discovers Camryn is secretly harboring a mountain of pain and attempting to numb it in damaging ways, there is nothing he won't do to bring her back to life. Determined to prove that their love can survive anything, Andrew decides to take Camryn on a new journey filled with hope and passion. If only he can convince her to come along for the ride...

Excerpt:
Camryn still loves the newer stuff and the Civil Wars more than anything and so that’s usually what we play.

Tonight will be no different.

I love watching her perform them next to me up on stage because she becomes so vibrant and playful and sexy as hell. Not that she isn’t all of those things already, but it’s like another more daring and flirty side of her comes out when she’s singing. And she doesn’t just sing—she puts on a show. I think it’s that little actress she’s always had buried somewhere in herself. She told me she performed in plays at school, and I can definitely see she has the knack for it.

But singing alongside me also seems to make her happy, and that’s why tonight is so important.

“I’m so nervous,” Camryn says next to my ear, having to speak loudly over the music.

I make a pffft sound with my lips. “Oh, please. Since when do you get nervous anymore? We’ve done this dozens of times.”

“I know, but I’m singing in front of your brother this time.”

“He can’t sing for shit, so his opinion is hardly valid.”

She smiles. “Well, I’m not nervous to the point that I don’t want to do it. I guess it’s actually kind of exciting.”

“That’s my girl,” I say and lean in to kiss her lips.

“Those two girls,” Camryn yells to me without looking in their direction, “front table to your left, they’re having sex with you in their heads right now, I swear to God.”

I laugh lightly and shake my head. We’d started picking people in the crowd to sing to lately.

“And that guy standing next to the woman in the purple shirt,” I say, nodding subtly in his direction, “has had your thighs wrapped around his head since you walked on this stage.”

“So it’ll be them tonight then, huh?” she asks.

I nod and say, “Uh-huh.”

“Make sure you give it to them good, baby,” she says, grinning wickedly at me.

“Oh, I will,” I say with the same amount of wicked on my face.

Release Day Launch: Four Seconds to Lose by K.A. Tucker

Four Seconds to Lose, the third book in the Ten Tiny Breaths series releases today! I finished this book this past weekend, and it is easily my favorite of the three! I can't wait to hear what you all think of it.

Owning a strip club isn’t the fantasy most guys expect it to be. With long hours, a staff with enough issues to keep a psych ward in business, and the police regularly on his case, twenty-nine year old Cain is starting to second guess his unspoken mission to save the women he employs. And then blond, brown-eyed Charlie Rourke walks through his door, and things get really complicated. Cain abides by a strict “no sleeping with the staff” rule. But being around Charlie challenges Cain’s self-control…and it’s been a long time since any woman has done that.

Twenty-two-year old Charlie Rourke needs a lot of money, really fast, in order to vanish before it’s too late. Taking her clothes off for men makes her stomach curl but Charlie tells herself that at least she’s putting her acting and dancing skills to good use. And though her fellow dancers seem eager to nab their sexy, sophisticated, and genuinely caring boss, she’s not interested. After all, Charlie Rourke doesn’t really exist—and the girl pretending to be her doesn’t need to complicate her life with romance.

Unfortunately, Charlie soon discovers that developing feelings for Cain is inevitable, that those feelings may not be unrequited—but losing him when he finds out what she’s involved with will be more painful than any other sentence awaiting her.
