Life as the Preliator is harder than Ellie ever imagined.
Balancing real life with the responsibility of being Heaven’s warrior is a challenge for Ellie. Her relationship with Will has become all business, though they both long for each other. And now that the secret of who she really is has come out, so have Hell’s strongest reapers. Grown bold and more vicious, the demonic threaten her in the light of day and stalk her in the night.

She’s been warned.
Cadan, a demonic reaper, comes to her with information about Bastian’s new plan to destroy Ellie’s soul and use an ancient relic to wake all the souls of the damned and unleash them upon humanity. As she fights to stay ahead of Bastian’s schemes , the revelations about those closest to her awaken a dark power within Ellie that threatens to destroy everything—including herself.

She’ll be betrayed.
Treachery comes even from those whom she loves, and Ellie is broken by the deaths of those who stood beside her in this Heavenly war. Still, she must find a way to save the world, herself, and her love for Will. If she fails, there will be hell to pay.
I thought Angelfire was a terrific novel, but Wings of the Wicked has surpassed all of my expectations. It was a terrific follow-up that is sexy, dark, and full of action and I already can't wait for the third book in the Angelfire series! At over 500 pages, you would think that you would be bored because the author must be dragging out every single scene. That is not the case at all, the writing is so amazing and the story is so captivating, you won't be able to turns the pages quick enough.

I loved Ellie even more in this book. She understands what her job is now, and takes it very seriously, but she is still a teenage girl at heart. She's funny, brave, caring and  loving. Her and Will have amazing chemistry and history and they really are so cute together. I love everything about the two of them together. Will is one of my favorite guys in YA, and he completely blow me away with his honesty and loyalty in Wings of the Wicked.

I enjoyed all of the secondary characters as well. Nathanial was still as sweet as I remember him and I loved learning more about Cadan, who I was so intrigued with in Angelfire.

The plot held my attention the entire time. We learn so many things about the war between Heaven and Hell and Will and Ellie are right in the middle of it. We also learn some very interesting things about Will, but it doesn't make me, or Ellie love him any less.

Wings of the Wicked ended with the worst cliffhanger in the history of cliffhangers! I will be waiting (not-so-patiently) for the third book. I can not wait to see where Courtney Allison Moulton leads us to next!
