Alexis Davenport wants to go home. She hates her new school, her mother for moving her away from her friends, living in her aunt's guesthouse, and her father for walking out. To make matters worse, Alex is haunted by the images of strange girls reflected in her mirror. It is bad enough juggling homework, a relentless bully, boys, and a deadbeat dad. Now, she must save the world from an evil presence hell-bent on changing the past - and our futures. Who knew her A+ in history was going to be this important?
When I first read the synopsis for Dangerous Reflections I was very intrigued. The story looked unique, and I was excited to get a copy from the author to read. I was not disappointed! Dangerous Reflections is a very fun and original read, and I am excited for book two in the series.

After Alexis Davenport's father walks out, she is forced to move with her mother. Already angry about moving and leaving her friends, she now has to deal with being the new kid in school. One day, Alexis accidentally is sent back into the past and inhabitants someone else's body. Not able to control her new, special power, Alexis can not control where she goes. All she does know is that she has to stop another time traveler from changing the past and screwing up the future. Eventually she starts to figure things out, and it was exciting to try to understand why this was happening to her!

What I really liked about the story is Alexis' transformation. She is going through so much and you can really feel her pain throughout the story but she grows and becomes a very strong and brave character!

For someone who loves history, I thought this book was well researched about the different past places that Alexis visited. It was very interesting and I even learned a thing or two!

The cliffhanger was very exciting and I can't wait to continue Alexis' adventures in book two. I would recommend this book to history nerds (like me!) or anyone just looking for a really good and fun read!
